Boston Bar | A pleasant American styled bar serving the usual range of international draught beers. I'm told that later in the evening it can be very noisy.

Jumeira Rotana hotel |
Churchills | A rather fine impression of an English city pub, with wood panelling, engraved glass screens and mirrors and a nice brass glass rack over the bar. Draught beers include Carlsberg, Heineken, Tiger, Stella, Fosters, Kilkenny and Guinness.

Sofitel Hotel, Deira City Centre Mall |
Fibber Magee's | This Irish bar is decorated in the standard international Irish bar style that you can find all over the world. A pleasant lively atmosphere when I visited late on a Thursday night.

Irish Village | A rather good Irish pub with decor perhaps more realistic than many -
I particularly liked the row of fake shop-fronts, complete with slightly faded paintwork.
The Friday Brunch is excellent - you can have an Irish breakfast and/or a roast dinner.

Jimmy Dix | A lively night club, busy with friendly dancers. A good live band when I visited.

Moevenpick Hotel, Bur Dubai |
Jockey's Pub | A busy lively friendly boozer in the British style, serving the standard range of international beers including John Smith's, Fosters, and Carlsberg.

Panorama Hotel, Mankhool Road, Mankhool |
Old Vic | A pleasant, if unsuccessful attempt at a UK pub, upstairs in the spectacular Ramada Hotel.
(The hotel is worth a visit just to look at the cathedral-like interior.)
One side is a bar and the other a restaurant serving such British delicacies as liver and onions and shepherds pie.
LSTVs for footie, and live music some evenings.

Ramada Hotel, Mankhool Road / 7 Street, Mankhool |
Rock Bottom | Now this is a proper night club:
Nice decor in American style, deafening music, an excellent live band and it was jam packed with people dancing and enjoying themselves.
The house cocktail, called a bullfrog, is lethal - and your tongue is still green the following morning!

Trade Centre Road, Al Karama |
Trader Vic's | A member of the international chain of South Seas styled bar/restaurants.
(I believe there are two in Dubai.)
The cocktail menu is extensive and they don't tell you what's in any of them, but I can report that there's certainly lots of alcohol!

Crown Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road |
Viceroy | Upstairs in the Sheraton Four Points hotel is this rather nicely done pub, with a (fake) wooden beam and barrel vaulted brick ceiling.
An LSTV and numerous small ones show sport including Premiership football.
Draught beers include Heineken, Carlsberg, Amstel Light, Stella, Kronenbourg, Fosters and Tiger; oh and Guinness if you don't want lager.
The menu of bar meals looks good.
