| Britannia Pub | Erdinger, Heineken and Calanda on tap in this two sided pub. Comfy chairs and a big TV in one room, lots more tables (and lots more people) in the smoking side. The decor is pleasantly understated. Absolutely wedged and noisy on Friday night, much more comfortable on a Monday. This is possibly the closest I've seen to a proper English pub in my travels, probably because they don't try too hard - no horse brasses, union flags etc., and because they don't do food so it is a pub not a restaurant.

| Channa | Mainly a restaurant, but with a bar counter and stools used by locals for a drink. Local Walliserbier (Biere Valaisanne) on tap. The food is superb, I had boar steak. The decor, pale wood panelling, stone walls and large roof beams looks rather new, but a carving in a roof beam refers to a Katastroph in 1993 so I guess it was rebuilt after a fire, flood or something.

| Matza Restaurant | A nice restaurant serving the local foods - steak and pizza. There's a small bar counter in the corner which locals and hotel residents use as a pub when the Matza Bar is closed.

| Steakhouse | Upstairs a rather atmospheric restaurant, on the ground floor a bar where they also serve the same menu, including antelope steaks! Walliserbier on tap.

| Winkelgass | The local Walliserbier is on tap in this pleasantly decorated cafe/bar. The revolving stools round the semi-circular bar counter are annoying, it's impossible to sit still! I was disappointed to discover a groß beer was only 0.3 litres!

| Emporio | A large pleasant bar plus a terrace outside. Eichhof on tap, amongst others, and the menu looks good. The interior decor is an odd mix of traditional dark wood, (fake?) wrought iron columns, and 1990s style naked air conditioning ducts.

| Hotel Bellaval | Eat and drink inside the hotel, on the terrace, or even in an old RhB railway carriage. Calanda beer on tap, and I recommend the food, especially the foal entrecote.

| Bar Postli | Located in the Post Hotel. The decor in the l-shaped room is plain but pleasant, if a bit clinical, and features black shiny floor tiles with sparkles in. Basic food - pizza, soup, hot-dog etc. Smoking is permitted and it was smokey when I visited.

| Restaurant Schützengarten | Now I know I have made the mistake in the past of writing down the brewery name from the neon sign and assuming it is the name of the bar, but in this case I double checked and this one is definitely named the same as the brewery. Schützengarten beer on tap, and the food from the small-ish menu is excellent, and quite cheap. Smokers outside.

| Nelson Pub | Actually, a rather good impression of an English pub. About fourteen beers on tap, Boddingtons was the only UK one I could spot. The amusing cannons over the bar form part of the maritime-themed decor. Lady Hamilton's Pub upstairs not visited. I was surprised to see Feldschlossen-branded nonics, and even more surprised to find a video screen in my urinal in the gents!

| Holiday Bar | A bog standard airport bar. The barman did a showy performance of pouring my bottle of Erdinger Hefeweiß into a proper glass, with excellent results.
