Station | A large chain-style dining pub with absolutely no one dining at seven on a Sunday. A choice of two cask ales, the one I tried was excellent.

Steam Town | A small front room plus a larger dining area behind in this rather fine brew-pub. Their own ales are good. Unsurprisingly busy on a Friday evening.

Wetherspoon's Wagon Works | A pleasant L-shaped pub with traditional decor, rather empty on a midweek evening.

Kings Arms | The decor is nicely understated traditional in this pub with one main room plus a side dining room. A range of Gale's brews on hand pump. The food looks good. There is a nice beer garden at the back. Lined glasses for a full pint.

Old Customs House | A Fuller's chain operation in an historic building surrounded by a modern shopping centre. Quality ales.
Expensive: Pint over £5, fish and chips £17. Last visited April 2022. |
Gunwharf Quays |
Ship and Castle | An enormous L-shaped pub with a tasty-looking carvery and a small selection of real ales. The one I sampled was in perfect nick.
