||A large multi-roomed multi-level pub in an enormous old house. The nicely restrained early 60s decor I admired on my first visit has now gone, which I feel is a shame as it was rather unusual to find this style still in good condition. However, the traditional style refurbishment has been done extremely nicely, so I can't really complain. There were seven real ales on offer, and I enjoyed an excellent Directors' on my most recent visit. The food is jolly good as well, and very reasonably priced.
