| Mini-markt Bar | A tiny nicely decorated bar hidden at the back of a mini-market in the railway station, with Radeburger Pils on tap. Service was a little slow because the beer was far too gassy.

| Molliblick | This pleasant bar/restaurant on the main street serves a range of bottled beers and excellent food - steaks etc. Steam trains pass the front door!

| Hanger Bar | A typical hotel bar, serving Rex Pils on tap plus a good selection of bottled beers. There are tables in the nice garden. Here I tried the bright green Berliner Wiess mit Schuss - it tastes awful!

| Technik Museum | The bar in the technology museum has very nice dark wood-pannelled walls and a quarry-tile floor. They serve Pils on tap plus a range of bottles including the local Weißbier. The food smells good.

| IBIS Bastei | A normal plastic hotel bar in one of the three identical IBIS hotels near the station. (Holiday tip: The three hotels don't all charge the same price - the one near the station was more expensive when I visited.)

| Sachsicher & Bohmische Bierhaus | A Ratskeller-style cellar restaurant plus tables on the old market square. Excellent food but watch out for the sparrows if you dine outside!
