Bridge On The Quay A fine pint of Okell's in a modern plastic friendly pub with two bars in three rooms busy on a Saturday afternoon.

Old Market Yet another scruffy friendly local serving good real ale.

Chapel Row
Railway A bit of a noisy kids pub on a Saturday night (Although nearly empty by eleven) but they do a good pint of Okell's and there's a very impressive array of bottled beers on the beer menu, including Westmalle Dubbel for example.

Rovers Return A traditional multi-roomed boozer with excellent ales served from the one bar counter. One room, a windowless snug, celebrates firefighters - and note the firehose beer pumps.

Sir Norman's Upmarket decor and prices to match in this pleasant hotel bar dedicated to Norman Wisdom. A fine pint of Bushey's bitter.

Saddle A plain traditional wood-floored boozer serving a good pint of Okell's

Terminus Tavern A large plainly decorated pub located at the end of the horse tram line where you change to an electric tram. You can sit outside and watch the trams.

Tramshunters Arms Real ales including Cains' Bitter in this bar on the sea front.

Waterloo Hand pulled Okell's in 1998 but no real ale now in this scruffy boozer.

LAXEY
Mines Tavern A small range of real ales including one brewed specially for the pub and some nice food are available in this pleasant traditional pub. Sit outside and watch the trams go past.

Shore Hotel A slightly dingy interior in this plain pub with a brewery at the back. Their own Bosun's Bitter is very good. In 1998 I had my first ever meeting with a Manx cat in the beer garden here.

The Manx Arms A big empty pub with no-one watching the large screen football. Excellent ale.
