| Bearded Monk | A plain well decorated room with about 24 taps, deserted at opening time on a wet Tuesday. This bar has a great selection of bottles for sale, ranging from Rochfort 8 to Sam Smith's.

| Denton County Brewing Co | A rather good brew pub, pleasant and welcoming with quite a few people in five minutes after opening on a Saturday. Much quieter on a Wednesday. Pub Ale on a handpump is great.

| Eastside | A large craft bar with 77 beers on offer (No. 77 was Guinness when I was there, but with all the wonderful local stuff to choose from I didn't try the Guinness.) They have a collection of about 500 tap handles hanging from the ceiling.

| Oak Street Drafthouse | This old wooden house contains a great bar with umpteen craft taps, the beer yard behind is surrounded by food trucks. Extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon, much more peaceful on a Tuesday afternoon.

| Fred's Texas Cafe | A splendidly done out part of a small shopping mall, with a bar area and a dining area. Fine food.

| Equal Parts Brewery | A classic Texas brewery tap, now that I can recognise them. Part of an old warehouse converted into a brewery and a bar, the latter plainly decorated but pleasant. As always, quality beers.

| Flying Saucer | A wonderful high ceilinged room in this bar located in the centre of downtown. The walls and ceiling are covered with gold saucers, each bearing a slogan. About 100 taps for beers, local and foreign. Good food.
