Seven handpumps in this tiny friendly micro-pub serving excellent ale. The walls are covered in drink-related bric-a-brac, it certainly doesn't have the usual micro-pub plain decor. An impressive diorama runs all round the top of walls, surely there should be a train? I didn't see one!

Crown Inn

Very good original wood panelling, especially in the bar side of this two-sided pub with limited access between the sides. It was rebuilt in 1935 replacing an 18th century original.
Appeared as "The Swan" in Brookside.

This large opened out food-oriented pub used to have very fine unusual art deco and neon decor, but following refurbishment in May 2003 the interior is more standard - still very pleasant though, and some small original features remain. There's a nice beer yard at the back. Food served all day.

The interior of this formerly two sided pub has been knocked through, I think, creating one large pleasant space. A popular and friendly place for family dining. or just a drink.

Very scruffy two-bar boozer. Large other side closed. Across the road from the LFC training ground (Melwood) but I doubt you'll see many of the players in here! Now closed and demolished.

A nice large three bar pub hidden in the back streets off Princess Drive. A fine bar, a large back room with two pool tables and a nice looking lounge closed on my visit. The original 30s/50s decor has been preserved.
It appeared in the film "51st State", playing the role of a Manchester pub.
Now closed and burned out.
