A typical micro-pub shop conversion with a friendly owner serving spot on ales from six handpumps. Surprisingly quiet when I was there at 5pm on a Friday, but it gradually got busier.

This tiny micro-pub in a former hairdresser's was very busy at 6pm on a Friday. Luckily some of the customers were sitting outside in the autumn sunshine, otherwise I wouldn't have found a seat. Two handpumps serve quality ales, and I was impressed to see a cask changed and pulled through at such a busy time. I was intrigued by a keg font serving "Frizzante 1754", especially when it came with a cherry! Apparently it's a draught Prosecco.

Outside, this large free-standing building looks a bit tatty. Inside is much better, a decent traditional local pub with two sides, the large lounge side knocked through into one room. I was pleased to see a real fire being laid and lit, but sad to be the only customer on a sunny Tuesday afternoon.
