Bridge Inn
 |
The enormous main room is nicely done out in this busy, friendly pub which was full of a mixed age clientele when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. There's a snooker room at the back. LSTV. This used to be a Salvation Army Hall, I'm told.
Now closed.

Cabbage Hall
  |
A very pleasant partly wood panelled interior to the lounge area in this large opened out pub. Function room. The large garden is probably a former bowling green. After being closed for several years, re-opened in 2015.

Canon
 |
A plain, well cared for traditional boozer with bar, lounge and back room. Busy with cheerful regulars. A little tatty on the outside, much better inside.

A rather imposing inter-war roadhouse, sadly closed by 2012 and since demolished.

Clubmoor
 |
This early thirties estate pub appears quite well preserved inside and out to my eye. Inside the layout is two-sided, with a further two rooms off the lounge side. Dark wood panelling, ceiling plasterwork and decorative ceramic panels seem original. Very quiet on a Tuesday afternoon, and the whole place has a tatty, run-down feeling to it.
Closed by 2022.

Edinburgh Park Docker's Club |
A classic working men's club with a small pleasant bar and an enormous plain function room with tables in long rows. LSTV in the bar.
Noted closed and derelict in 2017.

Elm House

Formerly a two sided pub, the back room is currently out of use. The front room is spotless and well cared for and was ticking over with cheerful locals when I visited.
Noted closed in 2022.

Farmers Arms
   |
A bit of an architectural gem, built in 1925 and extended in 1930. Much of the impressive neo-Georgian frontage survives as built. The interior is less well preserved but still retains many original features. Architecture aside, this is a popular friendly two-bar boozer.

First Base |
This was formerly the Royal Ancient Order of Buffaloes Club. Now it's a down-market, slightly grubby, cheap one-room boozer. It's very unusual nowadays to see oversize glasses and a free-flow pump.
Now closed and boarded up.

Larkhill (King of Hearts)
 |
King of Hearts: This fairly new pub in what looks like a former shop had one room divided by a low partition. At the front was the posh part, a very nicely decorated lounge while behind was the slightly plainer (and a little grubby when I visited) bar. The counter was in the bar half. The walls were covered with a wide selection of sporting photographs plus a few large mirrors. There were lots of TVs showing sport. Now a Mexican restaurant.

New Broadway
  |
This fine building was built in 1938. Inside, the bar side is plain, clean and tidy. The lounge side is very nicely done with dark wood panelling all around, retaining some original architectural features. The only way to get between the two halves is outside.

Rourke's Tavern |
A large plastic nicely decorated wine bar, called Rourkes Wine Tavern when I visited, but they've dropped the Wine since.
Now closed.

Stadium (Cockwell Inn) |
In 1998 I noted the Cockwell Inn as a very plastic and tacky one bar pub with a polished stone floor. Returning in 2017 it's now called Stadium, still a bit of a down market shed, but well cared for and spotless throughout.

Willow Bank

In 1998 I described this place as scruffy and tatty, but by 2017 it was much tidier. A bar at the front and a superb wood panelled lounge with a dance floor, stage and arched ceiling at the back. This looks to me like a genuine 1920s interior, but what do I know?
