A tiny shop conversion, but in contrast to the typical micro-pub there's no real ale or craft beer, just the standard keg selection at prices remarkably low for Heswall. Plenty of TVs for sports.

Harvest Mouse
|
Wow! What an exterior, the pub is built in to a windmill. The pleasant interior is less historic and more plastic, in Greene King's Flaming Grill chain.
Subsequent research suggests that the reason the interior is not historic is that the place was built in 1980!
Returning in 2024 I found the windmill had lost its sails.

Wetherspoon's Prense Well (Ravenscroft) (Exchange)
|
The Ravenscroft was a modern Wetherspoon's-style place in the Smith and Jones chain, serving good real ale and cheap food.
The Exchange was very purple in its nicely done interior, with no sign of any food.
It was reported closed in 2020, re-opening as a Wetherspoon's in 2022. They have very nicely refurbished the interior.
