Outside, an early sixties red-brick free-standing building. Inside I found a very well looked after open and light pub with two bars. They've also got an outside servery and lots of tables in the former car park. Excellent real ale when I visited.

A nice large knocked through one bar pub, comfortable and popular. The impressive-looking building is probably "brewers' tudor" from the 1920s.

This imposing 1930s roadhouse has been partially knocked through inside, creating two large open comfortable rooms. The menu looks good.

Outside a typical large free-standing 50s construction looking rather tatty with a car park full of glass. Inside, a big knocked through front room, clean and tidy, plus a back room not visited. Now closed. Last visited 2002. |

Nice decor in this noisy grubby plain pub with no atmosphere. The Wednesday night Karaoke/Disco was playing to himself when I visited! The Whitbread Scotch was awful. Closed and demolished by 2012. Last visited 1999. |

A comfortable cheerful Thwaites pub with one side aiming at diners, the other for drinkers. The latter was empty when I visited on a Tuesday afternoon in 2019, the whole place totally deserted when I returned on a Friday in 2025 and they'd almost run out of beer!

A large Wetherspoon's in a converted shop, I think. Nicely done out and always busy. Excellent ales. Closed in March 2024. Last visited 2020. |
